Alright, fellow Warhammer enthusiasts, get ready because The Hour of Ruin is upon us, and the Skaventide is set to unleash chaos like never before in the Mortal Realms. Off the back of the cataclysmic Vermindoom, the Skaven are swarming out with renewed fury, and the Stormcast Eternals are standing firm on the front lines, ready to face this impending disaster head-on.
Skaventide Launch Box – New Miniatures Galore!
This launch box is a treasure trove of new miniatures for both the Skaven and the Stormcast Eternals. And guess what? There are even more models on the horizon! Depending on the outcome of the Slaughter at Hel Crown global campaign, we’ll get a sneak peek at all the new minis from one of these factions.
But to tide us over, we’ve got two jaw-dropping new miniatures to drool over today: the menacing Brood Terror and the radiant Knight-Azyros, Tornus the Redeemed.
The Skaven’s New Nightmare – The Brood Terror
The Skaven never cease to amaze (and terrify) with their horrific creations. Straight out of the Clans Skryre and Moulder’s twisted labs, the Brood Terror is a colossal monstrosity that’s bound to shake the battlefield.
These grotesque behemoths are born from heinous experiments and unwilling sacrifices. Picture this: a Master Moulder, who ends up being part of the beast itself, with a gibbering head protruding from its neck. Sometimes the Moulder’s mind remains intact, guiding the beast toward its targets. Most of the time, though, it’s all about using its immense brainpower to wield its arsenal of weapons in deadly unison. We’re talking giant rusted flails, warpflame scourgers, and horrid flensing knife-limbs.
Hope Shines with the Knight-Azyros
But don’t lose hope! The Stormcast Eternals are bringing their own brand of divine retribution. The Knight-Azyros are winged warriors carrying lanterns filled with the radiant starlight of Azyr, capable of incinerating corruption wherever it falls. These sacred warriors are the beacons of light amidst the chaos.
One standout is Tornus the Redeemed. This guy has a backstory straight out of a blockbuster. Once a proud warrior from Ghyran, he was captured by Nurgle’s minions and forced into the Pit of Filth. After 77 days of torment, he gave in and became Torglug the Despised, leading the Maggotkin of Nurgle against his former allies. But redemption was on the horizon! The Celestant-Prime purified him with Ghal Maraz, offering him a second chance. Now, as a Knight-Azyros, Tornus spreads Sigmar’s light and vengeance across the realms.
