Amidst the perilous landscape of the Ravening Ruin, where the wrecked Seraphon temple ship Talaxis lies, warbands from the Mortal Realms vie for control and plunder. In Warcry: Briar and Bone, the eternal conflict between Death and Life escalates as the Teratic Cohorts of the Ossiarch Bonereapers clash with the Twistweald of the Sylvaneth.
Sent by Nagash to secure relics and thwart his enemies, the Teratic Cohorts are twisted creations fueled by spite and desperation. Led by Kavalos Centaris and herded by Mortek Cykloptians, these bone constructs roam the wilds, accompanied by Teratic Prowlers and Aviarch Harpies, embodying the tragic fate of those who fail the God of Undeath.
On the opposing side, the Sylvaneth of the Twistweald are tormented by arcane parasites from the Gnarlwood, clouding their minds and inflicting constant agony. Led by Swarmsages and Twistroot Wardens, they seek Alarielle’s healing touch while battling against their own afflictions. Twistwood Revenants, Twistwood Dryads, and Twistwood Spite-Revenants join their ranks, driven by obsessive hope and primal fury.
Accompanying these warbands is the Ravening Gnarloak, a carnivorous tree roaming the Gnarlwood in search of flesh to feast upon.
The Warcry: Briar and Bone box set includes the Warband Tome, containing lore, illustrations, rules for both warbands and the Ravening Gnarloak, quests, background tables, a shared campaign arc, and a new Battleplan Generator.
