Heresy Thursday: Mini-Shadowswords!

In the tumultuous battles of the Age of Darkness, where Titans and Imperial Knights reign supreme, the Solar Auxilia rely on super-heavy firepower to counter these towering behemoths. Among their arsenal, the Shadowsword stands out as a formidable titan-killer, built upon the sturdy Baneblade chassis and armed with a colossal volcano cannon.

The Shadowsword’s volcano cannon is capable of shredding through the thickest armor, boasting the crucial Engine Killer (2) trait in games of Legions Imperialis. With this trait, a well-placed shot from the Shadowsword can annihilate an Imperial Knight with ease. However, the versatility of the Shadowsword extends beyond its titan-killing capabilities. Its kit allows for the construction of two additional variants: the Stormblade and Stormsword.

The Stormblade sacrifices some of the titan-cracking firepower for a plasma blastgun with double the rate of fire. While slightly less powerful, the Stormblade’s excellent armor-piercing capabilities make it ideal for eliminating tough vehicles and elite infantry units within its impressive 20″ range.

On the other hand, the Stormsword specializes in demolishing enemy cover and fortifications with its gigantic siege cannon. Equipped with the rare Demolisher trait, the Stormsword can wreak havoc on enemy structures, making it a formidable choice for breaching heavily defended positions.

These devastating tanks will soon be unleashed on the battlefield with their rules available in an upcoming expansion for Legions Imperialis. Keep an eye on Warhammer Community for further updates and information on these potent war machines.
