Halo: Flashpoint Reveals from Mantic

Mantic has revealed the first image of miniatures for their upcoming tabletop game. Let’s take a look and see what else they said about it.

Halo: Flashpoint is an upcoming tabletop miniatures game set in the universe of the Halo video games and an entirely unrelated abomination of an Amazon show that no one should ever watch. There is precious little information about the game so far, except that it will be a skirmish game in which two players will pit fireteams of Spartans against one another. It’s an interesting choice. It means that Mantic’s game will be a tabletop version of the very popular multiplayer mode from the video games, without any of the story elements. It sounds like there will not be any miniatures for the iconic adversaries in the games, The Covenant and The Flood, at least not at release, though Mantic teases “dangerous foes and fresh conflicts waiting just over the horizon…”

In a short intro video on the Mantic website the miniatures are shown along with footage from one of the videogames depicting Spartans with armor and coloring identical to the minis displayed. Mantic says that the minis will come pre-assembled and that the release box will come with pre-colored and easily assembled terrain. They promise that the game will include recognizable weapons from the video games, some of which are depicted on the miniatures, as well as “cinematic moments that authentically reflect the very best of the halo universe.”

Mantic’s Halo: Flashpoint website will launch near the end of this month. Mantic will be running demos of the game at Adepticon 2024, so make sure to check out their booth if you are there. Halo: Flashpoint will hit shelves in Fall of this year. Check out the teaser image below and let us know if you’re excited in the comments!
