40k Balance Datalsate is Out!

Now, since the last Balance Dataslate, we’ve seen epic tournaments, two new Codexes dropping, and gamers clocking in hundreds of thousands of matches everywhere – from cozy kitchen tables to heated local game stores. And guess what? The meta’s getting a makeover!

Aeldari armies were cruising a bit too high with a 55% win rate, so the balance wizards are tweaking Fate Dice, shaking up the Phantasm stratagem, and nudging some points. It’s like they’re keeping the cosmic balance without dropping the nerf hammer too hard. On the flip side, our Drukhari pals were struggling, but fear not – they’re getting a much-needed boost! Points and Power from Pain mechanics are getting a facelift, and there’s a shiny new Detachment called Skysplinter Assault. Archons even get to roll with Incubi bodyguards – talk about a posh upgrade!

But hold on, it’s not just about factions. We’re diving deep into internal balance, folks. Chaos Daemons and Space Marine Intercessors are catching a break with lowered points, and a bunch of Indirect Fire units like Whirlwinds and Plagueburst Crawlers are getting a slight point bump. It’s like the balance squad is shouting, “Hey, bring out those varied armies, let’s spice things up!”

And for all you Deathwing Assault enthusiasts eyeing that army box, hold your bolter – the points for units like Inner Circle Companions aren’t here yet. Why? Because Codex Supplement: Dark Angels is still chilling on the shelf. But don’t fret, a points update is on the horizon when the Codex hits the scene.

Oh, and don’t forget the Rules Commentary – it’s getting a facelift too. Questions about Transports from Reserves, which modifiers certain units can shrug off, and other tricky scenarios are getting clarified. It’s like having a game guru on speed dial.

Check out the Warhammer Community Downloads page for all the deets, and if you’ve got burning questions or brilliant suggestions, hit up the balance team at 40KFAQ@gwplc.com. Keep those dice rolling, commanders!
