Kill Team Balance Dataslate Released!

Hey, fellow commanders! Back in the Ops Room for some juicy updates. The World Championships of Warhammer Kill Team just wrapped up, and trust me, the aftermath is hitting the killzones like a shockwave. But fear not, a new Balance Dataslate is in the pipeline, and we’re about to dissect what it means for our beloved kill teams.

Now, overall, Kill Team is rocking a solid and balanced state, but you know how it goes – a little tweaking here, a little buffing there.

Chaos Cultists and Ork Kommandos, you’ve been hitting the gym a bit too hard, and it’s time for a cooldown. Their powers got a slight trim to keep things in check. Those Cultists were running amok with mutations and melee mayhem in the Championship Bracket. Shoutout to Alberto ‘Java’ and Aleksa Pavkovic for the chaos they unleashed.

But hold on, Exaction Squad is getting pumped up for some close combat action. They’ve got new buffs to play with, making them the short-range kings. And the Nuncio-vox is getting a facelift, making the Arbites even more efficient at bringing the pain up close.

Now, complexity got dialed down for some factions. Take the Genestealer Cults Wyrmblade kill team, for example. Cult Ambush and the Sanctus Talon operative got a little makeover for a smoother gaming experience.

The Kill Team meta is in a sweet spot right now, and brace yourselves for new challenges in the upcoming season. We’re saying goodbye to the tight corridors of Gallowdark and hello to precarious platforms and sea spray on Bheta-Decima. Will gun-focused kill teams have their moment in the spotlight? We’re about to find out.

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates, especially on the new Scout Squad and Blades of Khaine. The game’s evolving, and we’re riding the wave into 2024 with the first Balance Dataslate. It’s a wild ride, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds on the battlefield.
