Many of the most celebrated clubs are already on board for our inaugural year, making this the largest 8 person team event to take place in the USA!!! But we still have a few spaces left for more clubs to join us this first year taking place September 20-22, 2024 at the Watters Creek Convention Center outside of Dallas, Texas.
This is the pinnacle of competitive 40K! Clubs will send 8 of their champions to battle it out and determine who is worthy of winning the Champions Cup each year. This 8 person team event is entirely community-created and will be the largest 8 person team event in the USA. Despite its size, each table will feature beautiful, functional terrain as well as professional judge support. This highly competitive event will also prominently showcase all aspects of the hobby. This includes focusing on, and celebrating the entire community behind the club whose 8 champions will be battling it out during the tournament.

Champions Cup 2024 Time and Location:
The Champions Cup caught on like wildfire. We quickly doubled in scale from what we originally planned, so we had to change some things to allow for this exciting growth and to provide the premium event we set out to do. We sincerely hope everyone understands and appreciates that we must adjust the original plan of the event to allow more people to attend and to provide the best possible experience: The event will move from SoCal in October to be in an ideal venue in Texas in the second half of September. As of now it seems the vast majority of people are flying in for the Champions Cup, and this includes several Clubs from around the world. We not only want to have fair lodging readily available, but we want to be in a city with a very affordable airport that has as many direct flights as possible.
People who have been to the Frontline Gaming Lone Star Open absolutely love the venue. It is a new facility that is clean, modern, functional, spacious and has the facilities to allow us to make the Champions Cup epic. Plus, it has consistently been one of the more affordable events for traveling people to attend thanks to the great hotel rooms at decent prices, Dallas being a major airport hub, and the wide range of dining options directly across the street in the Watters Creek Village. That is why we are pleased to say we have selected this same venue for the Champions Cup in 2024.
TLDR:
The event will take place with three days of gaming over September 20-22, 2024 at the Watters Creek Convention Center attached to the Marriott Dallas Allen Texas Hotel located just outside of Dallas Texas. People are welcome to check in to the room block on the 19th and hang out in the hall that night for open play and to review the terrain.

What is the Champions Cup?
This is an 8 person team event that will closely follow the WTC format, but will be taking things to a whole new level. The Champions Cup is not solely focused on the 8 person team at the event, but instead wants to include the “club” as a whole. We are talking about the weeknight sparring partners, the regional faction gurus, and the dedicated painters helping get their clubmates’ armies battle ready – they are all part of the club and should be recognized for it! At the Champions Cup, all club members are invited to attend even if they are not rolling dice for points.
Most importantly, the Champions Cup is truly a creation by the community for the community. This event is designed to be exactly what the dedicated event-going community wants. A committed core of “founding” clubs and their respective leaders provide insight and guidance to make the Champions Cup absolutely epic and assist in decision making to ensure the event properly delivers what the community is looking for.

Refund Policy and Media Release
- All tickets are digital. You will not receive physical tickets. For the Champions Cup event (for which registration will open in November, 2023), all purchases are final. There are no refunds as items are custom made for this event and the organization of the event will take place well in advance of the event date. There are no exceptions to this policy. Tickets may be transferred to another party up until July 12th, 2024.
- The individual roster of players does not need to be determined at the time of purchase. The roster only needs to be provided at the time specified in the player pack which most likely will be 4-8 weeks before the event takes place.
- In the instance the event is canceled due to an act of God, force majeure or forces outside of our control such as severe weather conditions, customers may donate their ticket revenue to the event to help offset the significant financial burden the event faces in the event of a cancellation (with our sincere gratitude), ask for a refund, apply their ticket value as credit for the Champions Cup 2025, or to use as credit in the Frontline Gaming web-cart.
- In the instance the event is forced to cancel, refunds may take up to 90 days to process. All ticket refunds are subject to a 15% service fee.
- All items included with the Team Ticket, Coach Ticket, as well as individually preordered must be picked up during the event by 10AM on Sunday. Items will not be shipped. Items not claimed by 10AM on Sunday will be resold to anyone interested and the original purchase will not be refunded.
- Frontline Gaming reserves the right to refuse business at our sole discretion.
- Media Release: This Frontline Gaming produced event, as are all Frontline Gaming events, is filled with many memorable memories. We try to preserve the event by taking photos/videos/livestream of you while playing your game or conversing with friends. By attending this Frontline Gaming event you agree to have your photograph (and/or video) taken by one of our staff members (or a Frontline Gaming pre-approved 3rd party) and to be shared on our various media platforms and partner media platforms including but not limited to XenosPettingZoo. At any time before or during the event, if you wish to have your photo not taken, please send an email to Events@frontlinegaming.org Please note that during the final round of this 40K Team Format event, the top tables may be streamed.
