This is the pinnacle of competitive 40K! Clubs will send 8 of their champions to battle it out and determine who is worthy of winning the Champions Cup each year. This 8 person team event is entirely community-created and will be the largest 8 person team event in the USA. Despite its size, each table will feature beautiful, functional terrain as well as professional judge support. This highly competitive event will also prominently showcase all aspects of the hobby. This includes focusing on, and celebrating the entire community behind the club whose 8 champions will be battling it out during the tournament.
What is the Champions Cup?
This is an 8 person team event that will closely follow the WTC format, but will be taking things to a whole new level. The Champions Cup is not solely focused on the 8 person team at the event, but instead wants to include the “club” as a whole. We are talking about the weeknight sparring partners, the regional faction gurus, and the dedicated painters helping get their clubmates’ armies battle ready – they are all part of the club and should be recognized for it! At the Champions Cup, all club members are invited to attend even if they are not rolling dice for points.
Most importantly, the Champions Cup is truly a creation by the community for the community. This event is designed to be exactly what the dedicated event-going community wants. All key decisions regarding this event are advised by the participating Club’s leader. If your club is participating in the Champions Cup, then your club leader is asked to be part of the event’s Advisory Council and help make this the most unforgettable event possible.

Many of the most celebrated clubs are already on board for our inaugural year, making this the largest 8 person team event to take place in the USA!!! But we still have a few spaces left for more clubs to join and become founding members.
To be considered for the Champions Cup 2024 and have your club’s leader be part of the Advisory Council, please have your club leader fill out the application. Once a club is approved of, details regarding tickets and additional information will be sent out.

When is the Champions Cup Happening?
The initial Champions Cup 2024 will be held in Fall 2024. However, beginning in 2025, the event will be moved each year based on feedback from the Advisory Council.
