Hold on to your helmets, Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans, because we’re diving into some exciting Sylvaneth action! The Ghyranite tail of the Twin-Tailed Crusade is in a sticky situation, tangled up with starving Ogors in the Scabrous Sprawl. But guess who comes to the rescue? None other than Belthanos, the First Thorn of Kurnoth, and his trusty Carnelian Greatspite.
Kurnoth the Mysterious God: Now, you might know Alarielle, the Everqueen, but Kurnoth, her consort, is shrouded in mystery. This God of the Hunt met his demise at the hands of Nurgle’s forces during the Age of Chaos. These days, only the wildest Sylvaneth worship him, which doesn’t sit well with Alarielle’s devoted children.
Belthanos, Born from Fire: Legend has it that Belthanos emerged from a tree struck by a bolt of jade fire on the day Kurnoth fell. Now, he’s all about protecting the dormant god’s flickering flame, and he’s here to lend a hand to the Cities of Sigmar.
Ghyranite Magic: The Carnelian Greatspite is pure Ghyranite magic, and it breathes life wherever it goes. During the hero phase, it can work its nature aetheric to influence a terrain feature within 6″, turning it into overgrown terrain. Magic meets nature, and it’s awesome!
Hunters on the Charge: The Kurnoth worshippers like a straightforward fight, charging into battle with no sneaky stuff. When Belthanos toots his Kurnothi War-horn, allies can charge even after they’ve run. Talk about a battle cry!
The Evergreen Hunt: This is the name of the game when you’re part of Belthanos’ crew. The Army of Renown includes Arch-Revenants, Kurnoth Hunters, Revenant Seekers, and Spiterider Lancers. They’re all about harmony and a good old-fashioned hunt.
Discordant to Mellifluous: As the battle rages on, the harmony within the army starts off discordant but evolves into mellifluous. The closer they get to their prey, the more awesome perks they unlock. It’s like a symphony of war!
Rules Galore: There’s a command trait, an artifact of power, a grand strategy, and three battle tactics packed into this Army of Renown. You can dive into the action with the Blades of Belthanos box, available for pre-order soon with Dawnbringers: Book III – The Long Hunt.
And don’t forget, there are rules for three more Armies of Renown in that book, including the Draconith Skywing. In the meantime, you can download the warscroll for Belthanos and get a sneak peek of the action. Let’s get ready to hunt, my friends!
