Warhammer Preview: Kill Team Salvation

Alright, fellow operators, time to gear up because we’re diving into some more covert action. Your Kill Teams have been all over the place, from Octarius to the tight confines of Gallowdark. But hold on to your bolters, ’cause things are getting even more exciting. Gallowfall, that space hulk we’ve heard so much about, has had a dramatic ending, crash-landing on Bheta-Decima. A nascent forge world, wounded but still kicking, and its tech-magi are up to no good. This is where the next season of Kill Team takes place, and it’s called Kill Team: Salvation.

Two teams are about to throw down in this perilous environment, and you get to join the party. The Blades of Khaine, those Aeldari elites, are on a mission to rescue a Farseer who’s been taken captive. These guys are pulled from various Aspect Warrior shrines, including the Striking Scorpions. You want sneaky close combat? These are the guys for the job. They can stalk prey for days, and when they finally strike, it’s a whirlwind of shuriken pistols, mandiblasters, and chainswords.

But wait, the Farseer’s captor isn’t playing nice. The Scout Squad is here to protect their Magos. These Space Marine Scouts might be in training, but don’t underestimate them. Armed with an arsenal of weapons, from boltguns to sniper rifles, they’re versatile and ready to tackle anything, including the Striking Scorpions.

Now, Kill Team: Salvation is a more focused box than what we’ve seen before. It gives you two Kill Teams – 10 Striking Scorpions and 10 Space Marine Scouts, plus six pieces of terrain – the Salvation Rig Apparatus, all ready for action.

Of course, you get a rulebook, packed with lore on Bheta-Decima and the fighters in the box, along with rules for both teams and how to wage war on the extraction rigs jutting out of the dangerous ocean. And don’t forget those handy reference cards for each team, with datacards, Tac Ops, abilities, ploys, and equipment cards, plus some tokens for good measure.

Want to step up your terrain game? The upcoming Killzone: Bheta-Decima set is what you’re looking for. It’s got 18 pieces, including a Ferratonic Furnace, modular gantries, and industrial-themed objective markers. Oh, and it comes with a double-sided game board that’s all about those toxic, fume-shrouded oceans.

So, stay tuned, fellow operatives, for these releases. Keep your comm-link to Warhammer Community on to stay in the loop, and check out the rest of today’s intel at the Warhammer Preview hub. It’s go time!
