But beware, progress is not always smooth in the untamed wilderness, and various Crusade Setbacks may befall your forces. For instance, an Oakblight infection can afflict a Ghyranite crusade, weakening even the sturdiest armor by forcing CASTELITE units to subtract 1 from their save rolls in the next battle.
Embrace Blessings and Unshakeable Faith
Maintaining a positive attitude and perhaps offering devout prayers to Sigmar can lead to Blessings being bestowed upon your crusade. These blessings manifest as morale boosts and rare resources, potentially inspiring Unshakeable Faith, granting your army free uses of Inspiring Presence and Rally in their next conflict.
A Three-Battle Crusade with Diverse Outcomes
Each Crusade unfolds over three battles, with outcomes determining the path ahead. Win or lose, different rewards await those who face the odds. The culmination of your Twin-Tailed Crusade is measured in crusade points, which translate into rewards at the chapter’s conclusion.
Earning five to nine crusade points earns your efforts the distinction of “A Noble Effort,” and every unit in your order of battle will receive five renown points to enhance their preparations for the next leg of the journey.
