Operation Critical Hit Week 4 Results

Operation Critical Hit has entered its final week of games. Let’s take a look at the results from week 4 and the final briefings for commanders.

Week Four saw no change in the global balance of power, with the Allies still holding a tenuous lead. The Axis forces won a major victory in central France and a string of smaller victories in North Africa, but the Luftwaffe was dominated by British and American air power in both Western Europe and the Mediterranean. Axis naval forces were equally outmatched in both theaters, ceding control to the allies.

The Axis forces maintained their domination of the Eastern Front but were unable to increase their control across the theater. Russian Aviators edged out their Axis counterparts in multiple sectors, as their counterparts on the ground were routed and the opposing navies fought themselves to a standstill. In the Pacific the Allies have clawed their way back after weeks of hard fighting. The campaign opened disastrously for the Allies in the Pacific, but last week they held equal control over the theater. This week the Axis gained back a small advantage, but it is very much still in the air.

For the final week of games the Allies have secured a bonus that applies across all three game systems: a single, free reroll of a D6. All the normal reroll rules apply for each system. Here are the week five game briefings: Bolt Action players will play the Hold Until Relieved! scenario from page 145 of the Bolt Action rulebook. Blood Red Skies games will be played using the Dogfight scenario from page 50 of the Air Strike! Victory at Sea players will use the Sweep & Clear vs Defense Line criteria from pages 54-55 of the War at Sea generator.

The campaign is far from decided, with the Allies holding a slight advantage. Who is your money on to win the whole thing? Let us know in the comments!
