IMPORTANT: You should be checked in to BCP before you enter the hall so that pairing can go live ASAP and we can begin round 1 on time. Military Appreciation:
The LSO is Frontline Gaming’s military appreciation event. There are several perks for current and formerly serving members of the military. There will be wristbands for all service members to wear so they can easily be identified and recognized by the event staff and the opponents. If your opponent is a service member, we recommend you thank them for their service. Drink tickets will also be handed out thoughtout the weekend to service members. Additionally, all military service members should make sure to come to the front desk at one point to get a small token of appreciation from Frontline Gaming.
The 40K Champs will have each branch competing to determine which is the FLG Branch Champ and bring home a beautiful trophy. Please make sure to reach out to your respective branch leader if you would like to represent your branch during the event:

No Outside Food or Drink in the Hall
The Marriott and Watters Creek Convention Center has informed us that they will be monitoring this. Please respect their rules when in the hall. There will be plenty of options all day so you do not need to worry. The staff is far more relaxed in Allen TX, than at other venues like the LVO, so things like energy bars are fine, so you should not fret too much. Basically, don’t go to McDonalds and bring it in the hall and eat it there and don’t bring in an ice chest of drinks and expect us to let you get away with it.
LSO Vendors:
In addition to the Frontline Gaming Second Hand Shop, there will be a few others booths. Both Rexers Lasers and Enemy Spotted Studios is in attendance and have offered to buy military service members a drink. They will have some drink tickets on a limited basis to hand out.
The Hobby Goblins will also be on site with plenty of fun weapon replicas on hand and a brand new scavenger hunt that anyone can play in:
The HobGob Ammo Run at the Lone Star Open
The Goblins have lost their cache. Find this ammo throughout the venue, snap a picture, and share via social media. All participants who find four or more are entered to win the Bolter Kit by Big Bear 3D. Be the first to Capture all 12 to win the grand prize, a Laspistol kit by Big Bear 3D and 100 entries into the Bolter giveaway. Additional prizes to be revealed at the event. Marriott Hotel Allen TX and Regional Pro Tips:
Restaurants on-site: The Marriott has an onsite restaurant with a breakfast buffet if you prefer to not eat in the hall, but it is more expensive and may take longer than expected. It is highly recommended that you grab breakfast in the hall. The Canyon Bar in the hotel is very nice and is open for dinner if you want to stay in the building after you are done rolling dice for the day. For breakfast and lunch there will be plenty of food in our hall just for our Frontline Gaming Lone Star Open Attendees, at very fair prices.
Restaurants off-site: in the surrounding area of Allen TX, there are multiple places to grab dinner, from fast food, to pubs, and local restaurants. The best option is to just walk directly across the street from the convention center along the cross walk to the Watters Creek Village where there are plenty of things to pick from and no car is necessary. Reservations are recommended as this is a popular part of town on the weekends.
Pro Tips: The hotel pool is open and has a really nice place to cool off after a day of gaming. The convention center is very large and has a concrete slab floor, so bring your most comfortable shoes that you own. Bring a bottle of water, this is TX and it can get hot.
If you have any questions, please post them on the Frontline Gaming Community Group on Facebook for the fastest response.
If you are already planning your next FLG event, be sure to consider the Las Vegas Open!
We can’t wait to see you all soon!
