Hey everyone! Adam, FLG Head Judge and TFG Radio host, here to give some information and reminders for next week’s Lone Star Open.
As we get closer to the Lone Star Open there is a lot going on both in front of and behind the scenes. This article is to help the players remember some things and also where to find a lot of the information that is available to you just before the start of the event.
Read the Packet
This is something that cannot be repeated enough. That being said, there are a lot of players who still do not read the packet leading up to an event. The packet has loads of information such as what missions will be played, what the start times are for each round, and what terrain will be used. Please pay particular attention to the Player Placed Terrain rules as there has been a slight adjustment to the procedure of placing the terrain and some of the rules of the terrain. You can find the player packet here:
Event Questions and Conversions
In case you don’t know, we have a form if you have any questions about rules interactions. As this is our first event using the 10th edition rules it is important that we try to cover as much as possible. We will answer questions up until Monday, July 17th, in order to avoid people turning in their lists and then having it be ineffective due to a ruling made the Wednesday before. Be sure to check the tabs on the bottom for your army. Also, if you have conversions, be sure to get them approved beforehand. If you don’t do your model may be pulled during the event and we don’t want that. The player packet, mentioned above, has all the relevant links but you could also go here:
Turn in Your Lists
This is another item that is always brought up and people still don’t do it. Lists are due on Monday, July 17th, at 11:59pm local Dallas time. Remember that there is a penalty for turning you lists in late. At minimum it is a yellow card but can also include point deductions in your first round game, especially if it is done after the lists are revealed on Wednesday, July 19th. Also be sure you have used your token to register for the event so that you are able to upload your list. If you are having issues with uploading your list you can email me at flgheadjudge@frontlinegaming.org
I think that is it for now. An email should be going out on Sunday to all the registered players with this information and some additional information for the event. Good luck next weekend and have fun!
