Unleashing Skabbik’s Plaguepack: A Warhammer Reveal in Wyrdhollow

Prepare to venture deep into the treacherous Wyrdhollow, nestled within the mighty Ghur, as the malevolent Skabbik’s Plaguepack emerges to corrupt and exploit the potent magic that permeates this mystical realm. Drawn by the allure of power exuded by countless relics and artifacts swallowed by the realm, the Skaven, with their insidious snouts, descend further into the Wyrdhollow, eager to serve the Great Horned Rat.

Hailing from the Clans Pestilens, Skabbik’s Plaguepack comprises fanatical disease worshippers notorious for their repulsive devotion and abysmal hygiene, even among the putrid Skaven. Firmly convinced that the Wyrdhollow harbors a vital ingredient for one of the 13 Great Plagues, they relentlessly pursue its acquisition. Their ultimate goal is to complete their sinister concoction, transforming vast expanses of the Mortal Realms into a repugnant paradise of decaying mulch.

Led by the formidable Skabbik Plagueseeker, the Plaguepack is accompanied by his loyal minions: Rabidius Skench, Itchitt, Poxlix, Rikkit, and the endearingly repulsive rat, Skritter. Their quest for the elusive rancid reagent of legend emboldens their combat prowess, with their most skilled fighters possessing the befouler keyword. These fighters stagger opponents adjacent to them at the start of each round, leaving them vulnerable to the Plaguepack’s ruthless assault.

True to the Skaven nature of cunning manipulation, Skabbik harnesses his devious plotting abilities through a pestilential Plot Card, ensuring his Plaguepack adheres to their calculated schemes.

The nefarious rodents can corrupt territories by either having two or more friendly fighters within a territory or seating a befouler on an objective within that territory. Once two or more territories are corrupted, the entire Plaguepack becomes Inspired, empowering them with renewed vigor and deadly efficiency.

To achieve their sinister goals, the Plaguepack pursues vile Objectives. “Infected Corpse Pile” demands the corruption of two territories, feasting on the bodies of two defeated foes. Meanwhile, the aptly named “Befouled” Objective requires a befouler to eliminate an enemy fighter, presenting the perfect opportunity for Rabidius to unleash his rusty Plague Censer and deal three damage.

The Plaguepack’s repertoire extends to an array of repugnant Ploys. “Move-Move!” enables these agile yet fragile warriors to evade danger while corrupting territories. “Pestilent Blessing” enhances close-up attacks with Grievous 1, while also granting the ability to transform a minion into a befouler—an ideal strategy for Itchitt or Poxlix. Furthermore, Skabbik’s Plaguepack can turn dire circumstances to their advantage with “Glorious Sacrifice,” allowing a fighter to corrupt territory or gain glory upon being taken out of action.

Should Skabbik fall, the Skaven’s unique approach to command ensures a smooth transition, as Itchitt seamlessly assumes the role of the Voice of the Great Corruptor. With convincing charisma, he leads his newfound followers, corrupting territories with unmatched audacity.

The imminent arrival of Skabbik’s Plaguepack promises to unleash their vile poxes upon the Mortal Realms. Stay tuned for more thrilling reveals and catch up on today’s exciting announcements right here.
