Epic is Back!

The Not Warhammer 40,000 Preview did not disappoint, with a slew of awesome items, but perhaps the most exciting is the reveal of Epic 40K, reborn as Legions Imperialis!

Adeptus Titanicus, Space Marine, Epic, Epic: Armageddon, call it what you will, it’s back, baby! Today GW officially announced that the boxed set Legions Imperialis will be released in August. It will contain loads of minis in the “epic” scale of 6mm, less than a quarter the scale of normal 40K minis.

This boxed set is going back to the original setting for Adeptus Titanicus, the Horus Heresy. This boxed set will still pit brother against brother, but it comes loaded with infantry options, tanks, and two Warhound titans that will allow for some unique force compositions. The box contents are:

The addition of Auxilia is a welcome one to the Horus Heresy setting. These units are often mentioned in the different literature and army lists, but this is the first time I am aware of them receiving dedicated models. These minis are all in scale with Existing Adeptus Titanicus minis, as well, meaning that the groundwork has already been laid for some truly epic games!
