Star Wars: Armada World Open Qualifiers Prize Preview

The tournament season for Star Wars: Armada has already started and Atomic Mass Games is showing off some of the prizes available to participants. Let’s check them out!

The World Championship of Star Wars: Armada will be held at Adepticon 2024. It is an invite only tournament, so how does one obtain one of these coveted tickets? There are two ways. First, win a Store Championship. Any store can purchase one of these kits through their Asmodee sales rep and run a tournament, so long as they can cobble together at least 16 players. The second way to get an invite to Worlds is to place in the top 4 in a World Open Qualifier Event. The first of these was at UK Game Expo last week, but there are more throughout the rest of the year (AMG has not yet released the full list). These events are much larger, requiring at least 32 players.

Every participant in one of these events will receive an alternate art copy of the upgrade cards Boarding Troopers, Skilled First Officer, Veteran Captian and Defense Liaison.

An alternate art Squadron card for DBS-404, Whisper, Plo Koon and Wedge Antilles are available for the top 8 players in each faction.

The top 32 players will receive four alternate art commander cards: Admiral Trench, Mon Mothma, Admiral Tarkin and Admiral Piet.

2 new alternate art, double sided, tarot sized ship cards will go to the top eight players. The first of these cards has the Venator I-Class Star Destroyer on one side and Providence Class Dreadnought on the other. The other card has the MC75 Armored Cruiser on one side and Imperial Star Destroyer Cymoon Refit on the other

Players that reach the top 4 will receive a fancy new Distance 1 ruler and the top two players will receive an equally fancy range ruler.

The top players from a Store Championship will receive an invitation tot he World Championship at Adepticon 2024. the top 4 players from an Open Qualifier Event will receive an invite to the World Championship, and the Champion of the event receives a trophy and will have their travel and accommodations to Worlds covered.
