New Organized Play kit coming for Star Wars: Legion!
Size does not determine significance – a truth wonderfully epitomized in the story of the Ewok Paploo and his audacious theft of an Imperial speeder bike. It was this pivotal act that diverted the Imperial guards from the Death Star’s shield bunker, creating the perfect diversion for the Rebel strike team to initiate their sabotage mission. Today, we’re excited to share that you will soon have the opportunity to step into the maelstrom of events set into motion by Paploo through our upcoming Paploo’s Wild Ride Organized Play Kit for Star Wars: Legion!
In this adrenaline-pumping game scenario, the thrill begins with a Paploo token planted right at the heart of the battlefield. The token faces a table edge that does not fall under the jurisdiction of either player, adding an element of unpredictability right from the get-go. As the game unfolds in alignment with the chosen objective card, players find themselves contending with the unpredictable path of Paploo on his stolen speeder bike. Given that the speeder bike controls weren’t exactly designed with Ewoks in mind, you can expect his journey to be rather erratic.
Each round kicks off with each player rolling a black attack die and a red defense die. The fun lies in the alternating turns of each player to resolve their dice, dictating Paploo’s actions for that round. The dice results could potentially sway the direction Paploo takes or even result in him inadvertently firing the speeder bike’s blaster cannon at a unit within range 1!
Whether driven by curiosity or genuine concern, both players are intent on bringing Paploo’s Wild Ride to a halt. A trooper unit, whose leader is in direct contact with the Paploo token, can make an attempt to stop Paploo and secure his token. This token, by the end of the game, yields 2 victory tokens to the player who possesses it.
Designed for casual play, the Paploo’s Wild Ride Organized Play Kit is a one-day event aimed at fostering a community of enthusiastic players in local game stores. This event is exclusively for participants and is not available for resale. The kit equips players with all the necessary components for the game, including scenario cards and a punch sheet featuring the Paploo token and other tokens essential for play. This allows participants to relive the exhilarating scenario with friends post-event. In addition to this, all participants are treated to a set of promotional full-art command cards graced with the charming presence of Ewoks.
