Bright Tree Village Previewed for Star Wars: Legion

Today we take you on a journey through the foliage-clad heights of the Forest Moon of Endor, where the resilient Bright Tree Village lies nestled amidst the trees.

This unsuspecting abode served as a formidable battlefront during the heated clash between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

The Battle of Endor, as it is often called, saw an unlikely set of heroes rise to the occasion. The local Ewoks, armed with grit and strengthened by the Rebel ground assault team, stunned the Imperial forces with their valiant fight, contributing significantly to the destruction of the second Death Star’s shield generator. This dynamic army of underdogs, inclusive of Ewok leaders, repurposed technology, and even a mistaken deity in the form of a protocol droid, played a crucial role in securing a pivotal victory for the Rebellion. Let’s delve deeper into these remarkable characters and their contributions to the epic battle.

We begin with the fan-favorite droid C-3PO, whose elevation by Luke Skywalker’s force powers provoked a divine reverence amongst the Ewoks. Transformed into the “Golden God,” his impact reverberated through the battlefield and translated into intriguing game mechanics. Divine Influence provided additional defense capabilities to Bright Tree troops, Master Storyteller added a compelling narrative flavor, and Infiltrate ensured his strategic positioning at the outset of battle.

The battle also brought forth unlikely heroes from the Ewoks themselves. A notable figure was Logray, the Ewok Shaman, whose initial hesitance soon transformed into enthusiastic participation. Blessed with survival skills and inspirational leadership, he was a potent ally on the battlefield. He also carried a bag of surprises that included “Secret Ingredients” for improved aim and “Herbal Medicine” for healing, amongst other beneficial upgrades.

Bright Tree Village’s defense was further solidified through four innovative command cards. “Arboreal Assault” and “Hidden in Plain Sight” offered tactical advantages in combat, “For the Tribe” signaled the rallying charge, while “Log Traps” added a unique attack strategy.

The stolen AT-ST, commandeered by none other than the gallant Chewbacca, introduced serious artillery to the Ewok army. With the traits of an Imperial AT-ST but with added enhancements, it became a game-changing asset. Other members of the Rebel Alliance, such as Han Solo and Leia Organa, along with Rebel troops and Commando units, also offered crucial support.

Together, they represented the Defenders of Bright Tree Village – the Ewok-Rebellion alliance that shattered the Empire’s Shield Generator and paved the way to victory. Want to explore more about the Bright Tree Village army-building rules? Click here for all the details.
