As a mentor and teacher, Luminara’s skills are unparalleled, and her relationship with her equally gifted Padawan, Barriss Offee, forms a formidable alliance. Together, they’ve fought alongside notable Jedi such as Anakin Skywalker™ and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano™, and Luminara has even engaged in a life-threatening duel with the deadly Nightsister assassin Asajj Ventress™.
Master Luminara is recognized for her defensive approach to combat, utilizing her Force powers to support her allies’ recovery, thereby enhancing their resilience. As long as she’s within range of an allied unit, she can deploy Full Recovery, a powerful healing ability that eradicates all damage and conditions. Additionally, her Sprint ability allows for rapid movement, belying her typically defensive stance and providing tactical advantages.
Luminara’s keen sense of the Force’s flow enables her to manipulate battlefield energies to her allies’ benefit. This ability proves invaluable as it allows for instantaneous healing of one ally while another suffers injury. Her enhanced sense of the Force also allows her to catch glimpses of future events, providing strategic advantages in-game by revealing the next in the Order Deck. Her reactive ability, Precise Strike, works in tandem with this, allowing her to activate an ally immediately after her attack to reposition or perform a bonus attack.
Luminara’s skills as a duelist are not to be underestimated. She’s demonstrated her prowess against some of the Galactic Republic’s most formidable foes. Her two combat stances, Form III Soresu (Resilience Form) and Form II Makashi, reflect her versatile combat style. The former is ideal for defense against blaster fire and melee attacks, while the latter offers a more aggressive approach, particularly effective against Sith.
Barriss Offee, while still a Padawan, is a force to be reckoned with. Her adept use of Force Speed and Force Push allows her to control the battlefield, moving swiftly towards objectives or repelling adversaries. Barriss also has the ability to Slip Away from unfavorable engagements, provided an ally can distract the enemy.
Barriss’ true potential shines when fighting alongside a full Jedi, especially her master Luminara. As a Faithful Padawan, their combined might is significantly amplified when they engage the same targets, their strikes becoming more precise and deadly. Her dedication to the Jedi Order also aids in their recovery from damage.
Like her master, Barriss adopts the Form III Soresu stance, but her interpretation is distinct. She’s not a Jedi Master, so her Defense Expertise Chart isn’t as refined, and her combat skills, while impressive, aren’t as honed as Luminara’s. However, her focus on repositioning suits her elusive nature in combat.
Barriss’ mastery of Force Push is reflected in her Combat Tree, with plenty of opportunities to Shove or expose adversaries. She may even trigger Force Push or Sprint, demonstrating her tactical acumen as a Padawan under one of the greatest Jedi Masters.
