The Unveiling of Jango Fett in Star Wars: Shatterpoint

Fasten your seatbelts Star Wars fans, as we rocket into a sneak peek of the much-anticipated Star Wars™: Shatterpoint game, featuring none other than the galaxy’s most revered bounty hunter, Jango Fett!

With a jetpack on his back and a cache of multipurpose weaponry at his disposal, Jango Fett is ready to make a grand entrance.

Jango Fett’s storied career of chasing the deadliest bounties across the galaxy is well-known. Yet, his most enduring legacy is perhaps his recruitment as the genetic model for the clone army of the Grand Army of the Republic. It was his DNA that was replicated, his face that peered out from beneath the helmets of the countless soldiers fighting against the Separatist Alliance in the tumultuous years preceding the ascent of the Empire.

Jango Fett wasn’t chosen to be the clone template on a whim. His remarkable skills, agility, and versatility in combat marked him out as a formidable warrior. A master marksman with excellent combat and survival instincts, Jango Fett boasts an array of weapons and tools that make him a force to be reckoned with. Unlike some bounty hunters who excel in specific areas, Jango Fett is a true all-rounder, equally proficient in hand-to-hand combat as he is in sharpshooting. It is no surprise that he is the ideal soldier that military leaders would want to replicate for every conceivable battle scenario. Despite the commendable performance of his clones, none quite measure up to the original. For the time being, he’s content to play the role of a mercenary in the ongoing conflicts, all while securing a future for himself and his son.

In battle, Jango Fett is an expert at incapacitating or neutralizing his enemies. As a Foundling of the Mandalorians™, he was bequeathed their unique Beskar armor, complete with a Jet Pack, a superb tool for gaining an aerial advantage. The Jet Pack is perfect for repositioning, and coupled with the My Client is Getting Impatient ability, it provides Jango Fett with an extra jump after focusing, ensuring he’s always where he needs to be. If repositioning isn’t necessary, Jango Fett can use his Capture Wire to drag a target out of their cover, leaving them exposed.

While it may seem costly to use Force for mobility or ensnaring foes, the I’m Just Looking to Get Paid ability brings significant efficiency to Jango’s strategies. As long as he inflicts a Wound on a significant target, this ability replenishes two Force and delivers minor healing. Additionally, his Not So Fast reaction is a deterrent for enemies who dare to approach him, allowing him to unleash his preferred rocket launcher onto a nearby foe, potentially causing substantial damage even before they can respond.

Jango Fett’s Resourceful Gunslinger Stance offers a well-rounded attack suite. This gunslinger excels at medium to close-range combat and poses a serious threat to enemies, whether they decide to engage him or keep their distance. While he’s more accurate from afar, his shots can deal even more damage when engaged in melee combat. The Stance’s Combat Tree offers a variety of options, including substantial damage dealing, additional maneuvering, and the opportunity to use an Active ability. Plus, it gives him an early chance to strain his target. This Stance also delivers solid defense dice and the protective benefits of his Beskar Armor.

And that wraps up our preview of Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter! Stay tuned for more Star Wars™: Shatterpoint updates and may the force be with you!
