Check out General Kenobi for Star Wars: Shatterpoint!

Hello there!

General Obi-Wan Kenobi played a crucial role in the Jedi Order as a mentor and trainer. He was taught by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and later trained Anakin Skywalker. Throughout the Clone Wars, Kenobi served as a Jedi General, leading the 7th Sky Corps and the 212th Attack Battalion, with Clone Commander Cody as his second-in-command. Kenobi was driven by the events of the war, including the death of Qui-Gon at the hands of Darth Maul, and desired to confront his former master’s killer.

In battle, Kenobi was skilled at quickly assessing hostile situations and taking advantage of them. He utilized the Force to leap forward with his signature phrase, “Hello There!”, catching opponents off-guard and enhancing the impact of his attacks. This ability not only granted him three additional dice on his attack roll but also allowed him to overcome obstacles and reach higher ground effortlessly.

General Obi-Wan Kenobi was known for his level-headedness and thoughtful approach in battle. While he was capable of swift attacks, he preferred to defend his allies and exploit his adversaries’ mistakes. His ability, Patience, allowed him to temporarily withdraw from combat, delaying his turn and giving another member of his squad a chance to act in his place. He could use this moment to reposition himself through a jump and recover from minor damage.

Kenobi’s mastery of the Force was a significant asset. When attacked, he could react with So Uncivilized, using his lightsaber to defend against projectiles and reflecting three damage back at his attackers. Additionally, his most remarkable capability was his assistance to his squad in utilizing the environment to their advantage. With Knowledge and Defense, he enhanced the situational awareness of his allies, enabling them to defend themselves effectively even in melee combat. They could maintain Hunker tokens and benefit from them against melee attacks. Furthermore, this ability allowed squad members to reposition themselves and slightly heal after an attack, though they would lose their hunkered position in the process.

General Obi-Wan Kenobi is highly skilled in lightsaber combat, having faced formidable adversaries throughout his Jedi career. He possesses a unique combination of fighting stances. His preferred stance, Form III Soresu, reflects his resilience, defensive tactics, and strategic strikes. Kenobi is patient and difficult to unsettle, carefully timing his attacks while prioritizing his own safety. This combat style provides him with healing abilities, repositioning options, and effective ways to hinder his enemies.

Despite his mastery of Soresu, Kenobi is also adaptable in duels and can switch to a more aggressive stance known as Form IV Ataru. This style, favored by Jedi like Qui-Gon Jinn, emphasizes speed and acrobatics, sacrificing some defensive security in exchange for overwhelming opponents with a flurry of rapid strikes. While this approach allows for a higher number of attacks, it may reduce the likelihood of critical hits. By bombarding foes with relentless assaults, Kenobi forces them to focus on defense, making it challenging for them to mount precise counterattacks.

This concludes the initial overview of General Obi-Wan Kenobi’s combat abilities.
