FLG Helps Prep You for the Old World: Dark Elves

Hi all.
We are continuing on in our series looking at ways to help prep you for the return of the Old World. Today’s subjects, the Dark Elves, are a nefarious race that has managed to preserve most of its models into AoS. Let’s see how you can start building that army today!

Old Range:
Like many armies the most severe losses for the Dark ELves comes in their losses of characters. Morathi and Malus are both gone, as are Malekith and Lokhir. However, many of the generic options are still around although Dreadlords and Beastmasters will need to be kitbashed. The Core units are in good shape, Dreadspears, Darkshards, Corsairs and Bleak Swords still exist. Dark riders can be kitbashed as needed. Specials are also in good shape. Witch elves/ Sister of Slaughter, Black Guard/ Executioners, Cold One Knights, chariots of both variety can be bought. Harpies and Shades are gone but can be proxied using newer AoS models or Shadow Warriors. Rare is also pretty intact. The aforementioned Black Guard, Hydras/Kharibdyss, Medusa/Shrine/Cauldron and Doomfire Warlocks are all still around. The staple that was the repeat bolthrower is gone, but the Lumineth one might do in a pinch.

Current Options:
The Daughters of Khaine can provide a lot of gap fillers like Khinerai for harpies (although they are very wobbly). The Lumineth also have a ballista that can be co-opted as do the Stomrcast. Just change out the crew and you should be okay.

FLG Store:
We have some Dark Elf models (occasionally on round bases) for you to peruse. Enjoy!
