Hi all,
On the Warhammer Community site today we got the announcement of three new boxed games that will help players get into the GW sphere of game!
First up is a new edition of Blitz Bowl. This game serves as a starter for Bloodbowl and comes with six Skaven and six human players.
Next up we have a new iteration of Warhammer Quest. This version, called Lost Relics features several Stormcast diving into a labyrinth.
It looks like this game is continuing on in the format of Cursed City although I am not seeing any bad-guy models. The cards look complicated, but if it does follow on in the tradition of older games it is pretty fast to learn. The tiles might even be incorporated into future Cursed City or other Warhamemr Quest games!
Last up we have 40k Combat Arena
In this game each player takes on the role of a different champion forced to fight in Trazyn’s arena. It’s a little hard to make out but it looks like your options are:
- Bladeguard Veteran
- Terminator veteran
- Death Guard Plague Marine
- Necron Royal Warden
All of these look like good ways to introduce someone to the 40k worlds and work as a ladder up to other games. I think Blitz bowl looks tempting as does the coop nature of Lost Relics. What do you think? Any games you are thinking of grabbing? Let me know in the comments!
And remember, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart!
they weren’t announced, they’ve been available for a while. the WarCom article was just a reminder that they exist
Ah, good to know, thanks.
