Hi All,
The drips of information keep coming for 10th edition. On the Warhammer Community site today we get a look at the new rules for transports!
One of the big changes is that now all units can disembark from a transport after it moves. This means that you will have to be careful about melta units or other shooty unit hidden in transports as they are far more mobile. While you still cannot assault (with certain exceptions) it does give units a lot more mobility. They also preview the firing deck rule which will be big for Space Marines and Astra Millitarum (the Chimera should have Firing Deck 2 if it is consistent with old editions).
The orks are another big beneficiary of this change with the Battlewagon having the ability for 22 models to fire from it. Meks will also be a popular choice:
Other units like Tauroxes and Impulsors will act as fast transports with the Rapid Deployment rule:
The Land Raider keeps its assault ramp rule allowing units to assault after moving. Oh and now Space Marine Transports no longer care about Primaris vs Non Primaris models!
Chimeras retain their command vehicle rule which is nice:
Lastly the Falcon tank gets a new ability allowing units that disembark from it to re-roll wound rolls when targeting a unit already shpt by the falcon. This might be a rule that is available to other units too.
