Today we are looking at the Warhammer Community article covering some of the new tricks found in the next Warhammer Underworlds release: Wyrdhollow.
The first preview covers the two new types of actions you can do:
- Stun One of your fighters chooses an enemy fighter adjacent to them and gives them a Stagger token, which lets you re-roll one dice in an attack or casting roll
- Barge is a superaction – like the Charge action – that combines the Move and Stun actions. It’s a risky move that staggers an enemy fighter while also staggering your own fighter as well.
Another new wrinkle is a new type of hex: the Snare Hex
This is another danger to avoid, or to utilize in your combos. While not as immediately damaging as lethal hexes, they can set up some amazing combo opportunities. Another fun ability they have added will make useless cards in your hand less of a dead weight.
This is a nice changes, especially if you just play with the basic decks as you can get a number of dead cards if you are unlucky. I know this game is getting a little bloated with its rules but these additions are interesting and provides more options to players. What do you all think?
