When we got news of a new vampire character coming with their battletome the question is: What can they make her do that the bazillion other Vyrkos characters can’t? Apparently, the answer is: tar pit and annihilate monsters like nobody’s business!
The new Ivya Volga character is an interesting addition to the rosters of the Soulblight. Ivya apparently was exiled after calling out Radukar for his failure at Ulfenkarn (which doesn’t really make sense as he largely succeeded in the game, although he got caught by Nagash, idk maybe we will learn more in the book’s lore). She now roams around trying to lay the foundations of a greater undead city. However her main goal is just killing monsters, something laid out in her rules:
Her first ability is just amazing. Reducing their attacks to 1 shuts down a lot of high powered monsters and can make her a great tar pit. She also can contest objectives when fighting monsters, making her doubly annoying.
Her bats are her loyal companions and will supplement her attacks
While 12 attacks does sound great, on average dice this means she will only inflict 3 wounds though. We don’t know if she will be available to all vampire bloodlines or just Vyrkos. That and her points haven’t been revealed either. Despite this, I feel she will be a very popular character!
