Age of Sigmar wasn’t the only game to get a series of big reveals last night. The next set of Arks of Omen protagonists have been revealed alongside the next book!
Boss Snikrot:
This sneaky-stabby boi is looking to wet the blades of Mork’s Teeth (his blades, weird that they pronounce the “th” at the end). He will be leading his boarding patrol of Kommandos, Beast Snaggas and Flashgitz. This is decent value given that 3/4 of these kits are still relatively new. The sneaky aspect of the orks has been criminally under-used for many years so I am glad they are getting some attention.
Farsight:
No offense to Ork players, but this news is getting a lot of buzz. After years existing as a resin model Commander Farsight is finally getting a new kit, and it is amazing!
The new kit has a number of stylistic differences from existing commander kits and has a keen, samurai aesthetic. Also…is that a Hexogrammation ward on his right arm? Maybe the Dark Angels will have an impact in this next book too?
The Farsight Boarding Patrol has the new model plus some crisis suits and Fire Warriors/Breachers
Arks of Omen Farsight:
The next book will focus on Farsight’s return to Arthus Moloch (where he got his sword) and deal with the strange visions he has been having. As it’s Farsight he will need to fight some orks. We also don’t know how the Arks of Omen will arrive or what impact they will have. The book will add enhancements for the T’au Empire, Asuryani and Ynnari, Drukhari, Harlequins, and (oddly) the Adepta Sororitas.
I am keenly interested in the narrative for this book, as my brother played Tau for many many years and Farsight was his favorite character. I really hope they don’t screw him up. However, few things should give fans of a character hope more than he/she receiving a new kit.
