*BREAKING NEWS* PSYLOCKE Joins the Marvel: Crisis Protocol Roster!

Atomic Mass Games releases a preview of the new model and we’re taking a look at what Psylocke has to offer players for Marvel: Crisis Protocol.

Psylocke, also known as Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock, is a skilled fighter and was brainwashed and physically altered by the Hand, a group of villains, before being helped by a friend to regain her memories and join the side of good.

As a character in the Marvel Crisis Protocol tabletop game, Psylocke has a number of abilities that make her a formidable combatant. Her Telekinetic Katana is a close-quarters weapon that packs a punch with a Strength 5, and her Psi-Bow lets her attack from range with a Strength 4. Additionally, her Pursuit ability allows her to move closer to her target when she hits with the Psi-Bow, making it harder for enemies to keep their distance.

In addition to her Telekinetic Katana and Psi-Bow attacks, Psylocke also has the ability to use her psychic powers to disrupt her enemies. Her Mental Coordination ability lets her spend a power to use one of three different effects: Psychic Defense to grant herself or an allied character within Range 2 immunity to Incinerate, Stun, and Shock; Psychic Blast to deal 1 damage to each enemy character within Range 2; or Psychic Shackles to force an enemy character within Range 3 to roll off against her own Mystic defense or gain the Stun condition. Finally, her Teleport ability allows her to spend a power to move to a point within Range 4, making her even harder to pin down.

Psylocke’s versatility and unpredictability on the battlefield make her a powerful addition to any team. With her Telekinetic Katana and Psi-Bow, she can engage enemies at range or up close and personal. Her Pursuit ability and Psychic Assault attack give her even more options to take out key targets and disrupt enemy plans.

Telekinetic Combat Enhancement is a powerful superpower that enhances Psylocke’s fighting capabilities by increasing her speed and strength. By spending 2 power, she can perform a Short Advance and add 2 dice to the first Telekinetic Katana attack she makes during that turn. It’s a great way for Psylocke to both reposition herself on the battlefield and add some extra damage to her attacks!

Telepathic Precognition allows Psylocke to reroll her own dice when attacking or being attacked by spending any amount of power. The number of dice she can reroll is equal to the amount of power spent, and it can only be used once per turn. This superpower gives her an extra edge in combat, allowing her to potentially avoid taking damage or deal additional damage to her opponents.

Just to clarify, the Martial Artist superpower actually allows Psylocke to convert all enemy critical results in a physical or energy attack occurring from within Range 2 into normal successes, making it much more difficult for enemies to land critical hits against her in close combat.

With her innate power of Stealth, Psylocke can stay hidden and only be targeted by enemy characters within Range 3, making it harder for opponents to take her out before she gets the chance to strike.
