Some of you might remember the major Narrative Crusade survey I conducted last year. We had over 270 responses from a wide variety of players discussing their thoughts on the crusade system, and their army rules. If you would like to go back and read those results I have linked them below.
I was really excited by the responses I got last year and I think this survey can be very useful to event GMs and TOs as they make decisions about how to incorporate the Crusade system into their events.
What Has Changed
One of the biggest differences from the last time we held this survey is the number of armies with crusade rules. With the World Eaters launching on Saturday we should have a complete set of rules. This will allow for better comparisons across armies. Furthermore, some of the weaker armies, such as the Necrons, have received supplements which vastly improve their abilities. We have seen a number of new factions arrive as well which might shift the perceptions of the players.
Another note is that there has been a bit of a shift in the reception of Crusade rules at events. It adds a lot of book keeping and eats up player time. Do players still want to use these rules? Or will they be phased out?
