The latest Operative for Star Wars: Legion is none other than the deadly assassin Asajj Ventress. Highly trained in the Jar’Kai fighting style, Asajj Ventress wields dual lightsabers with distinctive curved handles. She comes with four unique command cards to unleash her sinister fury upon enemies of the Separatist Alliance.
Fans of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be familiar with Asajj Ventress as Count Dooku’s one time apprentice. A Dathomirian (just like Darth Maul), Ventress was born into one of the powerful Nightsisters clans, but was separated from her family at an early age. She changed hands several times before Jedi Knight Ky Narec detected her sensitivity to the force and took her under his tutelage. Ky Narec’s death orphaned Ventress for a second time and her spiral of grief and hatred lead her straight to the dark side and Count Dooku.
During the Clone Wars Asajj Ventress would encounter many heroes of the Galactic Republic, going so far as to cross lightsabers with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano and even Anakin Skywalker. This is the Asajj Ventress we see depicted in this box, full on Sith Apprentice, ready to lead battle droids into the fray. But this is not her whole story.
Despite her obvious skill, Ventress’ usefulness eventually ran out and the Sith betrayed her. Dooku was ordered to kill her but the underlings tasked with the job failed. Severed from her family for a third time, Ventriss was consumed by grief and hatred once again. She tried and failed to assassinate Count Dooku on multiple occasions. Eventually she fell in love with a fellow bounty hunter who revealed himself to be Jedi Master Quinlan Vos and their love turned her finally from the dark side to the light. The two Battled Count Dooku multiple times and Ventriss was killed defending Vos, but having renounced the dark side and her former master.
Asajj Ventress is a powerful operative with a powerful story that will make an outstanding addition to any Separatist Alliance army.
