Goblin Wolf Riders Get their Long Expected Glow Up

Hi All,
Today we are taking a quick look at the new Snarlfang models being released for the Gloomspite Gits. This unit marks one of the few times we have seen an amazing sculpt go from the Warhammer Underworlds game to the Age of Sigmar (usually it goes the opposite way). The models themselves look amazing and, if you still play Warhammer Fantasy should be fairly simple to adapt to square bases. I do wonder if the strategy of including musician and standard bearer models in new kits is designed to make them compatible with the Old World when it releases?

When last we saw the beloved Goblin Wolf riders they competed with Spider Riders for a similar niche:

The main difference in the units revolved around their mounts. Spiders were slower, but more flexible. They could move over terrain and had a way to generate mortal wounds. Wolves were faster, and could fight if within 6″ of an enemy unit. I am curious as to how GW will integrate them into the new book. I wonder if they will keep them as faster, but less hard-hitting spider riders? My gut says they will get improved weapons in the new book and likely have some other mechanic to better differentiate them.

Given they are such an iconic Goblin unit, and one with an amazing new sculpt, it wouldn’t surprise me if there are faction rules in the new book that will lean into, and buff these units. The one thing that makes me hesitate is the fact we haven’t seen a hero unit on a Snarlfang….yet.

Anyway, what do you think? Will these be a must-buy for you?
