2023 marks the beginning of The World Championship of Warhammer encompassing their US Open Series and major events like The Las Vegas Open, Adepticon, The London GT and NOVA Open.
As Games Workshop launched their US Open series over the course of 2 months, the company has finally announced the World Championship of Warhammer as the culmination of a year of competitive Warhammer 40,000.
Here’s what they have to say:
This incredible finale will be fought between winners of some of the biggest and best Warhammer events from around the world. Qualifying players will be invited to the finals in Atlanta, Georgia, in the USA, from November 16th to November 19th.
The Championships will bring together 18 countries across 3 continents in order to fill their 170 qualifier slots. This includes Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States, but they’re also looking to expand the list even further throughout the coming years.
With this announcement, frontline needs to make their events equally accessible to everyone no seeding people to the top bracket because of their unique abilities of positioning themselves on any games going into events like LVO or NoVA. I should have the same chance at tip 3 as everyone else.
What?
All the placing into the top final day are based on game results. There is no outside setup going on.
Yeah, I was like….huh? Maybe I just didn’t understand what Tim was saying.
I am pretty sure Tim didn’t understand what Tim was saying.
