We have the Event Organizer of LVO 2023’s Warhammer Underworlds event Chris Rivera to tell us what to expect out of the event this year.
Why should players be excited about this event?
There are two events for this game system during LVO 2023. The Underworlds Rivals Tournament taking place on Friday and the Underworlds Grand Clash taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, the 27th, we are holding a fast paced 1v1, best of 1 Rivals tournament. Play in a gambit of 6 matches leading to a Grand Finals match where the 2 highest ranked players will face off to determine the LVO 2023 Rivals Champion.
Then comes our 1v1, best of 3 Grand Clash on Saturday, the 28th and Sunday, the 29th. Build your best champions deck, grab your dice and your minis to test your skills in the Underworld. On Day 1 players will battle in 4 ranked matches to determine our top 16 that will move on to Day 2. On Day 2 the top 16 will be pitted in a single elimination bracket ending in a Grand Finals where we will crown the LVO 2023 Grand Champion.
Are there any unique elements to this event that set it apart from other, similar events?
Both tournaments will be sponsored by Games Workshop and BurgerTokens. We will also have some custom game pieces made by members of the Underworlds community.
