Angron’s Rules Revealed! He’s A POWERHOUSE!

Games Workshop drops a preview of Angron’s datasheet and teases us about World Eaters

The datasheet for Angron just released and with a cool model comes some interesting rules. Let’s take a look at his stats:

A 16″ move, more than likely with fly is going to make Angron extremely fast with it’s 2+ WS & BS at S9. The one thing that confuses me is the 2+ save and no mention of an invulnerable save. I’m going to assume he at least has a 4++ otherwise it’s going to be bad news bears. But with 12 attacks Angron’s still going to be bringing the pain.

This is ridiculous, but at least the Skull-Taking Slash doesn’t ignore invulnerable saves because at 12 attacks hitting on 2+ and S9 the model would literally be a point and click delete tool.

ALSO HIS SWEEP ATTACK IS 36 ATTACKS AT S9 HITTING ON A 2+ WS

Uhm…wow. The Games Workshop article says the following:

“Have you ever seen dozens of brave Battle Sisters disappear in the blink of an eye? You will soon.”

The term Battle Sisters can pretty much be replaced with almost anything else.

Re-rolling hit rolls of 1, giving off an aura of +1 attack to World Eaters Core units or FULL ON DENYING FALLBACK IF YOU’RE WITHING 6″ OF THE UNIT. You get to pick one, but I’m going to bet my turnips that there’s going to be some way to access an additional aura for free or for cp.

Wow. Okay. This totally doesn’t feel like a gatekeeping unit.

What are your thoughts on the unit? Also here’s a graphic GW made to show how many troops Angron can kill compared to other Primarch’s. If anything it just goes to show how much they absolutely cucked Mortarion in the Thousand Sons codex.
