These last few years has seen an increase in blogs, podcasts, services, and other stuff related to 40K and Games Workshop in general. For many people it makes it difficult to figure out who to listen to and what to look at as well as what to look for when trying to figure out Games Workshop games. Well don’t fret as this week I will tell you why I’m the only person you need to listen to when seeking out advice.
Playing for a Long Time
For those of you that have always been following the article, and since I am seeing it all the time, I have played this game for a very long time. As a result, I have learned a lot of things both in and out of the game and many of those things that I’ve learned are pertinent two things I have to say. So when I tell you guys things it is not because of arrogance or and inflated ego but as a result of my vast knowledge and experience accumulated over the years. That is not to say that sometimes I can be wrong, or my advice can be wrong but that is highly unlikely, so it is better that you do as I say.
I am an Event Judge
Now normally this doesn’t matter in your everyday life, however when add an event or a game that I am attending and especially officiating what I have to say very much so matters. Now obviously the smart thing would be for you to not seek my advice or ask me a question otherwise you may not like what I have to hear but when asked my answers do carry some authority so it would be wise to heed what I say. Now I know that there are usually others that could answer your questions as well or give you advice on what to do but let’s be honest they don’t know what they’re talking about As I alone hold the vast knowledge and know how on how things work (don’t tell Reece).
Because I said so
If you are a parent, then this is a term that you are familiar with. Even if you’re not a parent this is probably a term you have heard someone else say or have had it said to you. There’s really no argument to this statement whether that person is right or wrong in your opinion. You simply need to acknowledge that what that person of authority said is the correct answer and continue with your game\ life. This may cause some people to become upset but my advice is to just roll with it and make a note of the people they give these answers and try not to ask them questions. Trust me it’ll make both of your lives easier. And why? Because I said so.
