Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to talk about all the stuff I am waiting to make a comeback.
I enjoy playing a lot of different games. I know that some people can only handle playing one game system, whether it is due to time, money or mental capacity. I like keeping my mind busy and I have plenty of storage space in the old hard drive for all the rule sets. Who needs to remember things like birthdays or how to perform basic functions. I used to play a lot of the old Specialist Games from back in the day and it seems that Games Workshop is bringing back a lot of these games but it isn’t enough for me. There are still a few games that should be coming back and the sooner the better.
Real Epic
I actually enjoy this latest version of Adeptus Titanicus. It is a lot of fun and looks great on the battlefield. As much fun as it is, I still miss the grandeur of Epic Space Marine, so in my mind we still need a newer version of epic. I want to see hordes of infantry and dozens of squadrons of vehicles on the battlefield either fighting out the Great Crusade, which would allow the inclusion of the Xenos races, or deciding the fate of humanity with the Horus Heresy. Sure I can still play it now, I have all the pieces from previous editions and the old vehicles and infantry look more in scale with the new scale titans, I would still like to play an official version and to see Games Workshop’s new take on some the the newer vehicles that have been introduced since those early days of Epic.
Man O’ War
I enjoy ship combat. Whether it is on the high seas or in the deep blackness of space. I enjoy the imagery of ships fighting it out. Man O’ War was really good, if a bit complicated but what game isn’t, and I wouldn’t might seeing this game come back. Although the Old World is no longer with us, we still got Blood Bowl so I don’t see why we can’t get man O’ War back. Yes, there are a couple companies also putting out a fantasy sea battle game but I like the designs from that old game. I think that a release of the game would do well and generate more interest in the world that was for when the fantasy battle game returns. By the way, Dreadfleet doesn’t count and we won’t be speaking about it.
Battlefleet Gothic
The best for last. I already mentioned my love for ship battles. I do hope that Games Workshop brings back battlefleet Gothic, or whatever they want to call it. I enjoyed the game immensely and have tried to play some of the other game systems but those companies went under and have yet to recover, at least to me. Just something about the ships seem to call to me. Even if it was just focused on Horus Heresy I think there is enough variety there for most players. I would jump on it quick and build up my Chaos fleet again. Currently I am getting my ship battle fix with Star Wars Armada but once BFG is announced I am on board.
