3 Rules that we ask you to follow:

No Outside Food or Drink in the Hall

The Harrah’s Cherokee Resort   has informed us that they will be closely monitoring this. Please respect their rules when in the hall. There will be plenty of options all day so you do not need to worry. The staff is far more relaxed at Cherokee than at other venues, so things energy bars are fine, so you should not fret too much.  Basically, don’t go to McDonalds and bring it in the hall and eat it there and don’t bring in an ice chest of drinks and expect us to let you get away with it.

COVID protocols are not in effect but be respectful.

This event, as well as all staff and volunteers, will be following public health guidelines as laid out by the CDC as well as the State of North Carolina, the Cherokee Reservation and the venue hosting us. – At this time there are no requirements in place, however if your opponent does ask you to follow any precautionary measures, we ask you to follow their requests. If you leave the resort, many of the local businesses on the Cherokee Reservation do request you to wear a mask.

Do NOT feed the bears.

Seriously. This is bear county. Don’t feed them.

Hall Location:

All events, registration the bars, the food vendor and the board games are located in the Cherokee Conference Center’s  3rd floor Ballroom which can easily be accessed from the main Cherokee Hotel Resort.

If you are staying in the Frontline Gaming roomblock, then you are likely in the hotel room block attached to the Convention Center, so you should be able to simply step out of the elevators and go right up the escalator to the hall.

If you are coming from the rest of the resort or the casino then you pass by the larger restaurants and take the Connector pathway to the  Convention Center. HERE is a map showing how to get to the Cherokee Open from the main Harrah’s Resort.

Cherokee Harrah’s Resort and Regional Pro Tips:

Restaurants on-stite: The Harrah’s is still getting back on its feet and like many resorts, not all on-site restaurants will be open or operating at full capacity. Please temper your expectations and plan accordingly. It is highly recommended that you make reservations in advance for any restaurants on the Harrah’s property that you want to eat dinner at. For breakfast and lunch there will be plenty of food in our hall just for our Frontline Gaming Cherokee Open Attendees, so you should not need to worry about that.

Restaurants off-site: in the surrounding area in the town of Cherokee there are multiple places to grab dinner, from fast food options, to diners, and local restaurants.  Note that some places may be closed for the season, so you might want to call in advance.

Things to do: The Entertainment center attached to the resort is open and has bowling alley lanes, an arcade and a firesite patio along with food and drinks. The town of Cherokee has shops and cultural exhibits. The Smoky Mountains National Park  is one of the most popular parks in the USA and for good reason. Its entrance and visitor  center with museum  is just up the road. The famed Blue Ridge Parkway is also minutes from the resort.

If you have any questions, please post them on the Frontline Gaming Community Group on Facebook for the fastest response.

We can’t wait to see you all soon!
