Looking at some updates that were dropped for Genestealer Cults
The new Genestealer Cults book is coming and with some extra upgrades to your weapons we’re going to be seeing these guys pumped up with so many different small buffs on pretty cheap bodies become a lot more efficient. Finally some love for the GSC since their aesthetic is pretty sick. Abberants getting some minor buffs here and there deservingly so after how much of a points hike they’ve received from Games Workshop over the years.
But let’s not worry about that, let’s look straight into the previews that GW dropped on some of the weapons for the GSC.
Wow, that’s a good upgrade for Seismic Cannons. Not only is the Short Wave now the same range as the Long Wave, we’re now given an additional strength and AP to the Long Wave while getting a nice boost in AP on the Short Wave. Feels like some better chaff clearing while still given an extra bump going against anything T5 and below.
Abberants are apparently getting a new weapon which is nice with +3 Strength, Ap 2 3 damage. That’s suddenly a Strength 8 weapon without any negatives like being -1 to hit when using the weapon so nice upswing in that department. Also Abberants are going to T5 with 3 wounds is good, however I don’t know if that makes up for how much they cost. Regardless it’s still a welcomed addition.
Okay this is pretty good. Seismic Cannons now getting a 1cp strat to basically make them a plasma option is sick. 3 damage Seismic Cannons? Uhm yes please. Don’t know how I feel about the melee weapon when using it with the new Heavy Power Weapon. You’re already at Strength 8, but I suppose if you go up against something T8, the extra point of strength is going to help out a lot.
