Event format:
Overview: For those new to (the very fun) team format events here is a broad strokes overview of how they work. Each team consists of 5 players and up to 1 non-playing coach. Each team member’s army is unique from their teammates. One of the 5 players is a team captain. They are an otherwise normal member of the team, playing an army during the event, but have several additional responsibilities such as submitting event scores and managing pairings. For a full description, see the Player Pack linked above.
Freeblades
- Freeblades are solo players hoping to find a team that is looking for more players to round out their team.
- How does it work? Fill out this form, and you will be added to the Freeblade roster. As teams need players they will post it on the FLG Community Group on Facebook, and we will ping the Freeblade Roster email list letting them know there is a team looking for members.
- Note, this does not guarantee you will play at the event. If you really want to come and play, best to form a team or find a team looking for more players. Join the FLG Community Group on Facebook to facilitate finding a team for the LVTT, ask around your local community or try any of the numerous message boards or social sites associated with 40k.

5 player teams with all 5 teammates able to play? Or is the team captain just a captain and not able to play?
All 5 players play and the team captain is one of those players.
I updated the event description for those unfamiliar with team events!
Venue and ticket prices announced at registration launch?
The venue is linked in the article above, you can book rooms now.
And yeah, we typically don’t put up prices for any event until registration opens, it often just gets confusing for attendees as then they think they can buy the ticket, start asking how to pay, sometimes just send money via PayPal or try and call in and pay, etc. It’s a lot easier to just do it all at once.
Ah, I was confused I found what was wrong. The mobile site does not list the venue. I had to switch to full site mode.
On the booking page it doesn’t?
Yeah, it’s just showing the name of the event on the mobile page, no venue name or address.
Interesting, that is odd. I will see if there’s anything we can do about that. Thanks for letting me know.
When registering, does our team captain register the whole team? Or does each team member need to do it individually?
One person buys a ticket for the whole team. After purchase you will get an email and can manage your team there. For now though, the only thing you really need to do is buy the ticket.
where does the registration happen?
The link has been added to the post above.
When do the games start/finish? Is there a schedule? Need this for knowing whether to book rooms a day early/late for check in and check out.
The event runs all day Saturday and Sunday, I would plan to check in on Friday and out on Monday morning.
What’s the cutoff date for any codices and/or FAQs that drop between now and then?
