Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to talk about exciting things happening in my 40K life. Well, at least exciting to me.
It’s been a long year that seems to have gone on forever. In my area things seem to be getting better and, as a result, we are able to have small gatherings. For my 40K life, this means that I am finally able to play in a tournament. It really does seem like a lifetime ago when I last played in one when it has actually only been a little over a year. Being able to go to a tournament and see people who you haven’t seen in a year will be a lot of fun. Here are a few more things that I am looking forward to at the upcoming tournament.
Rules “Discussions”
Oh man, I can’t wait to start talking about rules interactions, whether the points in the codex are really supposed to be that, or why this weird, unforeseen, edge case combo is about to break the game wide open. I am really looking forward to asking questions that I could easily find in my book, except that I either forgot it or will just ask my buddy because he remembers everything or happens to have the book. I cannot wait to have a heated “discussion” before we even unpack our armies. It will be glorious.
Figuring Out Where to Eat Lunch
Who doesn’t love hanging out with your group? Lunch, usually after the first game, will be glorious and a great way for everyone to catch up with what they have been up to for the past year. What’s even better is the period when the group is deciding where to eat. Having to juggle all the different tastes and restrictions people have for what they eat can be almost as challenging as playing a game of 40k itself. I mean if we are able to master this difficult task within the normal time we have for lunch, then playing 40K should be a breeze.
The Game Store “Ambiance”
I really don’t think I need to describe this to you, dear reader, but I will. This is the sights and sounds of a bustling, at the appropriate occupancy per local guidelines, of a thriving game store. I’m talking about the various human interactions going on before, during and after games, the people eating food at the tables when they aren’t supposed to, and the guy that brought a fish dish, and the unwashed masses in general. Literally. The sights the sounds, and the smells of a game store in full swing is something to behold. Hmm, after looking at this list maybe I will skip this tournament after all…..
That’s all for this week. Hope you enjoyed the article. Let me know what you think, and what you look forward to when you start attending tournaments again, in the comments section below. And remember boys and girls, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart
I don’t know what you’re talking about. Figuring out where to go to lunch was easy. Anthony and I walked down the street to the bar/restaurant that served the largest draft beers sat down told the rest of you where the “group” was eating. No fuss. 😉
