Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to wax nostalgic and get some more of the good stuff
I love playing chaos. Well mainly chaos space marines and mainly Black Legion. Something about the fallen angels motif real struck a chord with me in those early days when we were only given a few short snippets of information about the fall of half of the Emperor’s legions. As the Horus Heresy has expanded I have enjoyed the journey thus far. Even in the 41st millennium I enjoy commanding the legions as they are now. I do prefer the more “human” legions and those that are not tied down to one particular god. Even with all the options available to chaos players, I feel like there is plenty of room for more god to be talked about as a force to be reckoned with. I mean if the warp is a reflection of our universe then there should be plenty of other gods to cause havoc in the mortal realm.
God of Procrastination
Let’s be honest. Many of us put things off until the last minute and I think that will still be the case in the far future. With this amount of energy being put off at the last minute it is only a matter of time, although a bit late, before this chaos god is formed. Always showing up late to the battle, his forces will be the ones to bolster wavering attacks and, more importantly, be the ones to steal and claim the victory by stealing the battle winning kills. much like how that one team member on your Apex squad steals your kill after you did all the damage. On the tabletop, the daemons and followers of this god won’t show up on the table until turn 3. If they are able to show up later, without counting as being destroyed, they will.
God of Plot Armor
This one is easy. We see it in almost every story we read in 40K. The “evil” side looks like it is about to lose, or your favorite character is about to die, and then the magic of deus ex machina comes in and saves the day. This has happened so much in the books and fluff over the years that a god of plot armor has to have been created by now. As more stories are told, and games played, that this god just gets stronger and stronger. The only downside is that there is no way of knowing if you are blessed by this god except by putting oneself in danger and let’s be honest, not everyone is blessed with plot armor.
Malal
This is an oldie but a goodie. Many of my fellow grognards will remember Malal from the early days of 40K. He is the chaos god that actively works against chaos. A self hating chaos god. His favored number is 11 and his color scheme is black and white. His followers made an appearance a few years ago as the Sons of Malice but nothing else have been heard from since. It would be cool to have him make a triumphant comeback to the 40K universe but sadly it may never be. Thanks copyright laws.
