Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to help you get out of that food coma by talking about 40K.
Well, it’s that time of there year where we look at all those store with sale items and stuff our faces with food. Not necessarily in that order though, but to each their own. I’m sure it has been a trying time for all of us and luckily we still have Warhammer to give us some sense of normalcy, in as much as a grim dark far future can. Now we naturally are thankful for family and/or friends but there are other things to be thankful for and I am here to tell you what they are.
All the new reading material
With a new edition there is always a new set of books that usually includes new units. Thanks to the new edition you can now look forward to all the codexes you get to read to keep up with what’s hot for each codex. Don’t forget that Forgeworld book too. Although there are a lot of units you don’t really have to worry about anymore, thanks Legends, there are enough changes to the units still in the book that you need to read that too. Don’t forget about those campaign supplements also. We are already seeing that there will be rules for armies that don’t have an updated codex in those books so you will need those too. That’s ok though, you can look at all of that in the 40K app, as long as you have a subscription and bought the books to get the code.
No Games to play
This may seem odd but hear me out. Granted, there are a number of places where games are being played but for the most part many of us have not gotten ant, or very few, in person games in a while. You should be thankful for this as this allows you to get your armies up to snuff, painting wise. I know you all have a large backlog of models to build and paint. You should have taken this time to build those models that you have and also paint the models you have built. This can easily get your armies ready for tournaments once they are allowed in your area. There is really no excuse for it. I know for myself I have been diligently building all my backlog of models before I start painting them. I am about halfway done and it only took me 9 months to get there. Damn, I have a lot of models.
More Marines
I know last week I mentioned that we have basically gotten all of our marine books but it looks like I was wrong. It seems that issues of White Dwarf will have new rules for space marine chapters and that there will be added rules in the codexes for additional successor chapters when codex are released. We should all be grateful that Games Workshop has decided to gift us with more marine love. Now we won’t have to go through the agonizing pain of trying to create a backstory for our homebrew or successor chapter as Games Workshop will eventually make one for us as they cover the remaining 900+ chapters that they have not talk about yet. I can’t wait.
That’s all for this week. Let me know what you think, and what you are thankful for in the gaming world, in the comments section below. Don’t forget to visit our Facebook, Twitch, and Patreon pages to stay up to date on what we’re up to and when episodes drop!
