The reveals are happening live over on Twitch so grab a mug of tea and join in the fun.
First up, Blood Bowl! Let’s kick off with a glimpse at the future of the gridiron…
Blood Bowl Second Season Edition
Blood Bowl is back in a big way, with the best-ever Blood Bowl boxed game ever produced! Don’t just take our word for it! Check it out, right now!
This new edition heralds the most significant Blood Bowl rules update since its inception, with smoother gameplay across the board. We know you fans of the game of fantasy football have been on the edge of your seats waiting to find out what’s new, and today we blow the lid off the beefy new boxed set and find out just what’s inside.
Both teams are complete – like REALLY complete – featuring their own updated Star Player and Big Guy models, so you’ve got everything you need to play through a full league right out of the box.
The Bögenhafen Barons are led by Griff Oberwald, and they brought along an Ogre to bolster their Line of Scrimmage. Imperial Nobility teams are flashier and more focused on a strong running game and defence when compared to a standard Human team, making them a nice alternative all-rounder option.

Not to be outdone, the Thunder Valley Greenskins have hired Varag Ghoul-Chewer and convinced a Trained Troll to join them, giving their playbook a few heavy-hitting options. If you like Orcs but don’t love Animosity, you’ll find Black Orcs are a bit more disciplined.

The box also includes two referees (for you to try to bribe)! The Dwarf even brought along a full set of Nuffle’s sacred texts – or maybe it’s a book of grudges to keep track of cheaters, probably a bit of both!
In addition to all that, you’ll get a double-sided pitch*, matching dugouts for both teams, and all the dice and measures you’ll need to play your games.
Of course, the box also comes with a full-colour hardback rulebook blessed by Nuffle himself, including streamlined and updated rules, plus profiles for every team and Star Player currently in the game. The rules have had a very thorough look and have been updated to focus on what makes Blood Bowl the great game it is – big, memorable, game-changing plays, a better balance between running and throwing games, and more control over how you develop your players in a league. Nearly every aspect of the game has been tweaked and tightened up to make it easier to play without losing a single ounce of depth. In fact, there’s quite a lot more to dig into.
In addition to the updated boxed set, the Necromantic Horror team will be the first new team out of the gates with a new issue of Spike! Journal, written with the new rules in mind! The format is familiar, with all the hilarious background, fantastic art, and regular columns you’ve come to expect, but you’ll notice the stats and profiles now conform to the new standard.
Want to immerse yourself in some rip-roaring Blood Bowl fiction? There’s no better way to get your pulse-pounding ahead of the big match! Black Library has collected some of the best Blood Bowl stories ever told in Death on the Pitch and the Blood Bowl Omnibus.
The future of Blood Bowl is bright. Keep an eye out for more news as we get closer to the November release date.
Warcry Battletomes
Time for some Warcry! Every single faction of every Grand Alliance is getting new challenges and quests, plus full profiles and fighter cards for each warband. Check it out:
Each book takes a deep dive into Death, Destruction, Chaos, or Order, including background tables, lore, and loads more. If you’ve been waiting for your favourite Warhammer Age of Sigmar army to be fully represented in Warcry, these books are for you. Put your existing armies to use in quick, intense skirmish combat – or lead them in a campaign to achieve their own objectives against all odds.

With this update, the action in the Eightpoints is going to get even deeper and more varied. With Warcry: Catacombs coming real soon (spoiler, watch out for tomorrow’s Sunday Preview), there’s never been a better time to venture into the Everchosen’s domain. In other areas of the Mortal Realms, the scene is set for an epic showdown between ancient enemies…
Warhammer Underworlds: Direchasm Revealed
The fourth season of Warhammer Underworlds is upon us, and it looks incredible!
Direchasm brings gorgeous new Warbands, new cards and new Primacy and Hunger rules to master. It’s sure to offer fresh challenges for all glory-seeking players.
New to Warhammer Underworlds are the Lumineth Realm-lords – Myari’s Purifiers have come to pacify the anguish of the tormented mountain. Featuring four strong fighters, each with their own strengths, they’re a warband that can do everything – they’ve got magic, ranged attacks, and two different styles of powerful melee.

They’ve brought along fancy headgear, pet rocks, an owl… and each includes their very own tiny tree! These stunning designs take the established Lumineth Realm-lords aesthetic and add to it in new and interesting ways.
While the Purifiers want to calm Beastgrave, the Dread Pageant seeks to draw strength from its pain. The dark mirror to the Lumineth fighters, these mortal followers of Slaanesh also feature four fighters with very different play styles, making for an aggressive and flexible warband with a twist. Their deck includes loads of ways to manipulate enemy fighters, and your own warriors will Inspire when they inflict AND receive wounds! What could be more thematic?

These models represent something we haven’t seen yet: a new look for Slaanesh-worshipping warriors. Their sinuous grace and sinister beauty come through wonderfully, and each model is dripping with amazing little details.
Direchasm offers new challenges for all your current warbands, as well as making for a great place to jump in if you’re not already playing. The new Primacy and Hunger mechanics allow you to build up bonuses, and the game rules have also been refined and streamlined even further.
We’ll be taking a deeper look at how the new season will shake up Warhammer Underworlds a bit closer to the release date.
Want some blood-soaked tales of glory from the depths of the Direchasm? Look no further than this forthcoming anthology, including tales from some of Black Library’s finest.
Want to see what it looks like when an Avatar of Khaine stabs a Dreadnought right in the sarcophagus? Check this out…
Woah! Where on earth are those Striking Scorpions off to in such a hurry? Who just punched the Interrogator in the face? Was that gigantic shelf of books part of a library from the 41st Millennium?
So many questions – but whatever it all was, it looks awesome, and we can’t wait to see more! Over the past few months, we’ve teased work commencing on a couple of animated Warhammer shows here on the Warhammer Community site, and it’s exciting to see that work is continuing to progress despite the best efforts of the world to get in the way (COVID-19, we’re looking at you).
The team behind Angels of Death are continuing to wow us with gritty, blood-spattered action as the Blood Angels come to life (and, everyone in the office agrees Livia Sorken is shaping up to be one badass ship’s captain). It looks like there’s going to be some seriously bloody combat in that show.
Allow us to introduce Chaplain Rafael… and his plasma pistol. What happens next is too messy for this preview.
Hammer and Bolter also continues apace – you can see shots from three episodes in this showreel. That pledge made earlier in the year, that this animated anthology would explore the breadth of the 40K universe, is definitely coming true! We’re probably speaking for everyone when we say, we need to see more Aeldari action.
How fast do Aeldari sprint into battle? Well, this fast apparently…
We even got a tiny glimpse of Interrogator – complete with gritty noir-style artwork. A grimdark detective story from the perspective of a hard-bitten Inquisitorial acolyte? Yes, please!
The hallmark of a good Interrogator is their capacity to take a punch and keep on interrogating. Fact.
All this Warhammer animation has us super-hyped. As soon as we have more to share, you can bet your favourite Gyrinx that we’ll be putting it right here – there’s no way we’ll be able to keep it to ourselves.
One More Thing…
There looks to be something on the way for skirmishes in the grim darkness of the far future as well…
What exactly could this be?
We’ll be sharing more information about ALL of these reveals very soon, so watch this space for the latest. In fact, you can get it delivered straight to your inbox when you sign up for our email newsletter!

* If it looks familiar to some of our more seasoned gamers, it’s because it’s heavily inspired by the pitches of yesteryears!
