The Warhammer-community team brings us a glimpse of what to expect in the future with 40k Codexes!
Now that Codex: Space Marines and Codex: Necrons are both available, we thought we’d share with you the roadmap for the next codex releases. It’s a very exciting time for all fans of Warhammer 40,000!
Without further ado, here’s the Warhammer 40,000 codex road map.
The expert xenos-hunters of the Deathwatch arrive hot on the heels of the Necrons next month, while the Wolves of Fenris are also unleashed. Sanguinala* sees Grandfather Nurgle bless us with the gift of a new codex for the Death Guard, while early next year we’ll see another xenos race rise up to put those Space Marines in their place.** Each of these codexes will be packed with the latest ways to play your favourite faction, including in-depth Crusade rules so you can watch your force grow from a skirmish-sized patrol into a planet-conquering army. All of these codexes and expansions will also feature a code, to unlock extra content in your Warhammer 40,000 App.
As you can see, we’re releasing these new codexes at quite some pace! So if your favourite army isn’t mentioned above, don’t worry, you won’t have long to wait until you get your incredible new codex. This is set to be an exciting time for fans of every faction in the 41st Millennium.
There’s a lot coming up for Warhammer 40,000 – make sure that you’re signed up to our newsletter so you don’t miss any of it. Also, join us on Twitter, Instagram, and the Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page to let us know which codex you’re looking forward to the most and why it’s the Space Wolves one.
* Or Christmas time, as we call it here in M3.
** And that’s only the beginning!
Space Marines, Space Marines, Space Marines, Space Marines, a xenos book they won’t tell us the name of, and then I’m go out on a limb and say some more Space Marines.
Oh boy!
lol
I mean, you are not wrong…
Oh it’s not that bad. All the 1st founding supplements still need to come out, so they can do space marines + something else every month for most of the year!
/sarcasm
I mean, there are currently more Space Marine faction books in the game than there are of every Xenos army put together, so… yeah, exactly what you said but without the sarcasm tag.
Hahaha, even more boring in the context of an active effort to give them all one codex and the stop gap pdfs.
Now let’s not jump to any conclusions…
…and it’s Space marines.
At the very least it looks like one of the early 2021 books will have green armoured Heretic Astartes in it.
Looks like GK are still the weakling marines for a while!
GW – “Hey, great news – we’re consolidating almost all the Space Marine factions into one book!”
Fans – “Oh, that is great news! Now we won’t need 20 different Space Marine books.”
Gw – “Er . . . about that . . .”
