Strange conversation on “shooty characters” being allegedly a joke.
There’re literally entire army-builds that hinge on these (e.g. Tank Commanders, Tau Commanders, etc..).
How are those Tau and IG armies centered around shooty characters doing these days?
A hell of a lot better than, say, Ynnari ?
Hell, having up to three Tank Commanders double shoot without even having to pass a psychic test or being forced to give up their regimental tactics would, which Eldar had to do to get just a single unit to double-shoot is still pretty obscene ?
Tank Commanders are great, no argument, but the rest of the army around them doesn’t seem to be cutting the mustard these days. The game is very much convinced that HQ choices are all about melee combat- look at how many of them get options for melee weapons as opposed to shooting weapons, and what kind of options they get.
Yeah, that is super annoying as an IG player. No one uses them, lol.
