Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to bring back an old segment and talk about more old epic models Games Workshop should make for 40K.
This week, and the next few weeks, we will be seeing a lot of new models being released for the new Space Marine and Necron codex. Yes, these models all look coll and are super killy but I want more. In a couple previous articles I mentioned some of the old epic 40K models that I wish Games Workshop would make. This week we will look at a few more models that the company could make that I think people would enjoy.
Nurgle Plague Tower
Now we all know the Death Guard have been getting a lot of love these past few years. They went from only having a box set to having a full range of new units available to them. I think the Plague Tower would be a nice centerpiece for a Nurgle themed army. It’s big, ponderous, and would help with line of sight issues. Just look at all those cannons it has! Who knows what new concoctions Grandfather Nurgle has cooked up just to be used by this vehicle. It would also be great for all those sieges we see in 40K, right? The disgusting conversion potential alone should entice Nurgle players to want it.
Ork Weirdboy Tower
Apparently the theme in this week’s articles are towers. Orks have always had that extra fun factor built into their army. Whether it was having a transport with a transport capacity of “as many models that can fit on the vehicle without falling off” to a gun that can cause little rabid creatures appear INSIDE your opponent’s armor, it’s all fun and games because someone will get hurt. The same goes for this vehicle. Stick a powerful ork psyker in the top of a tower, so it can easily gather waaaagh energy and put that tower on top of a fast buggy. Laugh with glee as you watch the buggy speed around the tabletop blasting your enemies with mind bullets until the vehicle, or weirdboy, explodes. Hopefully the explosion happens in the middle of your opponent’s army.
Slaanesh Knights
Now I know that we already have Chaos Knights in the game. It can easily be said that this request isn’t really needed because of it. The reason I included them in this list is because I like these original designs from the game. I would love to see a kit based on these models, with their own special rules. They could even be house specific as you could say that this particular house is one of the most favored of Slaanesh, thus they have been warped the most, or some such thing. I just think they are so different from normal knights that they would really make the army distinct from their Imperial brethren. I just wish Games Workshop had made the models for the other Chaos gods as well. One could always dream.
