This weekend, yet another wave of Lumineth Realm-lords kits lands, including one massive miniature that’ll be sure to stand out in any collection – Avalenor, the Stoneheart King. Today, we’re taking a look at some of our favourite features of this stunning new model.
1. One Kit, Three Options!
Avalenor, the Stoneheart King, is part of a dual kit that builds either this legendary champion or a “normal” Alarith Spirit of the Mountain. The latter has two pose options, meaning you’ll be able to add a number of these towering terrors to your force without them looking identical!
2. Warhammer Bonsai
All the Alarith Spirits of the Mountain feature a miniature mountain range on their back, complete with tiny Tohnasai trees! In the lore, these gardens are made so the mountain spirit feels at home in its new body.
3. Something in the Wind
When designing the Lumineth Realm-lords, the miniatures team ensured that every model was being dramatically tousled by the wind – an effect that’s particularly striking in larger collections. This is most obvious on the Alarith Spirits of the Mountain and Avalenor, the Stoneheart King, who feature massive banners and tassels.
4. Bitz, Bitz, Bitz!
If you’re the kind of hobbyist that can’t resist chopping a kit to bits, here’s a sneaky look at the sprues for Avalenor the Stoneheart King! As a dual-build kit, you’ll have plenty of spares left over, however you decide to build your mountain spirit.
How will you build your Avalenor, the Stoneheart King kit? Let us know on our Warhammer Age of Sigmar Facebook page and make sure to pre-order yours this weekend!
