Hey everyone. Adam, from TFG Radio, here to give even more to you from my fountain of 40K knowledge.
Hopefully you enjoyed the article last week about how to bring back some of our dearly departed Primarchs. There is always speculation on who might come back and if it is even possible for a dead Primarch to come back. This week we will take a slightly different approach and deal with the Primarch that are, or seem to be, still alive. Now we aren’t going to talk about how we get them back, let’s just assume they come back. What I want to speculate about this week is what their reactions might be to the current state of the Imperium, or just how they may act when they get back. Here are a few examples that I thought of off the top of my head.
The Lion
Finally, sleeping beauty wakes from his 10.000 year long slumber. What he finds is a chapter surrounded by mystery and punishing those that may know or have information about their dark secret. I imagine Lion’El would not want to have their shame kept secret any longer. He knows, from experience, that theirs was not the only that had members side with Horus during the heresy or turn to Chaos. He would bring about an age of openness and understanding that these things happen and it’s okay if brothers in arms have differences of opinion. He would gather both Dark Angels and Unforgiven together to work out how best to heal these wounds. Once they are all together, for the betterment of all mankind, Lion’El would proceed to kill them all. The Unforgiven for turning to Chaos in the first place, and the Dark Angels for changing the color of the legion because only traitors do that. He then gets to start anew. What a happy ending.
Rogal Dorn
Although missing a hand, I can see Dorn coming back. More importantly, I can see the first thing Dorn does is head straight to Terra. Not to see the husk of his Father but to see what has become of his precious defense of Terra. He will walk up and down the parapets acreoos the entire planet inspecting the defenses like a parent looking at your first apartment away from home. The amount of corrections and improvements he will want to the place will keep the Administratum busy for a few centuries. He will then move on to his gene-sons and tell each of them how much he is disappointed in them for their lack of defenses in all things. This will culminate in his muttering to himself, “Why is Roboute always first?” #bitternotbitter
Leman Russ
We never really know what happens to Russ except that he was chasing a stick and got lost. In the early canon he actually died but promised to transend death and come back to help when things are grim. Well things right now are pretty grim. Russ coming back would not like what he see. The mere fact that Magnus attacked Fenris would be enough for him to go on a rampage. Knowing that the Dark Angels had a hand in it just give him that added incentive to go full Teen Wolf and wail on some Dark Angels and Grey Knights. Lion’El wouldn’t mind because he was planning to get rid of all the Illuminati Dark Angels and replace them with new Primaris ones anyways and the Grey Knights are dirty witches, not like the Rune Priests at all. The Edict of Nikea is still in effect, right? Who care! Russ certainly;y won’t.
That’s all for this week. Let me know what you think, and how you think some of the primarchs may react to the new Imperium, in the comments section below. Don’t forget to visit our Facebook, Twitch, and Patreon pages to stay up to date on what we’re up to and when episodes drop!
