Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to discuss the what’s happening in the world of 40k and basically whatever I want.
We are starting to see some tournaments being played from around the world. Because of this we are starting to see what’s working in this early stage of the meta. We have a few grand tournaments to look at and see what is developing. So far we see nurglings with plagueburst crawlers, Harlequins, and even orks making a strong showing. It looks like the xenos and chaos armies are set to make a run to the top of the tournament standings. Fortunately for you, dear reader, the Space Marines are showing as still being viable.
Thankfully, right now anyway, it seems that Space Marines are still on top overall even with the xenos and heretic nipping at their heals. But there is nothing to worry about for the Space Marines. The new eradicators have already shown that they are well worth adding to your army, especially if you are Salamanders. With some of the new models that are coming soon, the Space Marines will continue to dominate the battlefield. i mean the new ATV has a look only it’s creator will love but you will probably see them everywhere as the rules look pretty good. They would have to be in order to get people to buy the model. The new bunker and the stationary gun adds even more firepower to the Space marine arsenal. Who knows what the new codex will bring in October.
Now that doesn’t mean that the Space Marines cannot be defeated. As I already mentioned, other non-space marine armies have also been having a good time. Harlequins have been winning and placing high at tournaments so those tricky clowns need to watched carefully. Even orks are winning tournaments and that is with a vehicle heavy list. I’m not going to lie, this kind of has me thinking of bringing back the Kanwall army. Chaos might even have a chance. Unfortunately for now it seems like a nurgling and Plague Burst Crawler combination is what working so I don’t really know if other chaos lists should even bother. What I do know that nurgling stock is rising even higher so you need to hoard those and sell them for high prices.
In the end, it doesn’t matter. The Space marines are too good at everything for opponents to counter. If I were you, and playing a non-space marine army, I wouldn’t bother showing up. If you do happening to show up, just give up and give your Space marine opponent the full 100 points, even if it is not painted. Just join the space marines since they get all the good stuff anyway.
